The area’s newest 18-hole course, General Burnside Island State Park Golf Course, is also one of its oldest. This Brian Ault Signature Series course replaces one built in 1958. Located on an island surrounded by Lake Cumberland, the course features a number of holes that overlook the water.
Guests at Woodson Bend Resort simply step from their condominium onto this 18-hole Trevino-Bennett course. Located minutes from the county’s main thoroughfare, U.S. 27, visitors can enjoy Lake Cumberland’s beauty while golfing. This course also has a driving range and a pro shop.
Two semi-private courses offer club settings to out-of-town guests. Eagle’s Nest Country Club, an 18-hole, par-71 golf course, is one of the most challenging and scenic courses in the region. Somerset Country Club, the oldest course in the county, is an 18-hole, par-70 that is challenging for golfers of all levels. Both offer pro shops and clubhouses.
Centrally located Waitsboro Hills Golf Course features Bermuda fairways, a driving range and a pro shop. Visitors enjoy the challenges of this course and the beauty of the rolling countryside.
Conveniently located off the I-75 corridor, millions choose Lake Cumberland’s 1,255 miles of shoreline each year to have fun in and out of the water.
